Six Month milestone sessions are some of my most favorite sessions! I adore how babies this age are so smiley. They also stay in one place pretty easily, which is huge win for me and makes my job a little easier! 🙂 Sometimes after having photographed lots and lots of toddlers (including my own), when I get a sweet little 6 month old sitter it’s a breath of fresh air.
I’m in love with the neutral, warm toned backdrop and spring greenery setups we did for this session! It’s classy & timeless, but also girly and fun.
6 Month Milestone sessions are one of those sessions that you just don’t want to miss. When my clients ask me what babyhood sessions I think are most important, I always tell them newborn, 6 month, and 1 year sessions. Babies grow and change so quickly, and capturing these milestones will allow you to preserve a piece of them being little forever and ever. There’s nothing more priceless than that.
Sometimes when babies reach 6 months old, they aren’t quite ready to sit up on their own. If this is the case for your little one, I recommend waiting until they can sit up fully on their own before doing the milestone session. Once they’re able to sit up it allows us to get a lot more variety with the images. So if they are 6 months, 7 months, 8 months, or 9 months, that’s absolutely perfect.
This darling little squish was so happy and full of grins. Her leg rolls and sweet cheeks melt my heart. I definitely wished I could take her home with me and just play all day long!
