UTAH NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER | Baby Girl Sadie
Baby Sadie was such a wonderful baby to work with! Not only is she beautiful, but she was sweet, snuggly, and really sleepy. All ingredients that are perfect for a successful newborn session. She rocked the neutrals and greenery we used for her setups. I’m in love with her squishy cheeks!
Did you know that the average newborn session typically lasts 2-3 hours? And sometimes even longer? Newborn sessions take a lot of patience. It takes awhile to be able to get baby sleepy and content between each pose. But these sessions are my most favorite! I love how much artistic freedom there is. I love that I can create timeless newborn imagery that’s creamy, elegant, and beautiful.
Did you also know that during the newborn session, we keep the room temperature really warm in order to help baby stay relaxed and sleepy. Newborns have spent 9 months in the womb where it’s nice and warm at 98 degrees. When they are born, it’s a bit of shock that the outside world is so much cooler, and it takes them awhile to be able to regulate their body temperature and to keep themselves warm. While you are at the studio it will be warm and maybe a little sweaty for you, but I can assure you that your baby loves it 🙂 And it helps immensely in a successful session.
If you are booking a newborn session be prepared to be at the studio for a few hours. But there you can sit back, relax, and let me take care of your baby until the session is finished. If baby needs to stop during the session and eat, then we will definitely have you feed them. But otherwise, you can relax and watch some newborn magic happen!
