OGDEN UTAH CAKE SMASH

“In a field of roses, she’s a wildflower.”

Baby Indie’s first birthday theme is all about wildflowers. I absolutely love this cake smash session! This sweet girl was fun to work with. Through photographing numerous birthday sessions, I’ve learned that one-year-olds come in two types. There are the ones who LOVE to get messy and dive right into the cake placed in front of them, and then there are the ones who are dainty and carefully take a little bit of frosting off the top of the cake. Indie is definitely a dainty girl!

At the beginning of the session, she licked some frosting and carefully picked a small handful off the top. Once we helped her out and opened up the cake a little, she got right into it! She ended up tipping her cake over toward the end of the session, and it was adorable. So glad we caught that on camera.

How darling is that wild flower crown!

I’d have to say my favorite picture from this session is the one with her leaning over the top of the cake licking the frosting. What’s your favorite?
