All galleries include the high resolution digital images & a print release so you can print your photos how you please. Professional printing services for high quality, color accurate prints are optional.
I operate a beautiful 700 sq. foot studio in the Ogden area. Featuring a gorgeous natural light room & a newborn area fully stocked with beautiful props and accessories. Keeping the studio germ free is of highest priority.
I specialize in capturing newborns in relaxed, natural ways, and in posed snuggly states. My lifestyle and posed sessions always use techniques 100% natural and safe for baby.

the posed newborn session

starting at $425

Posed newborn sessions spend time capturing priceless, unique newborn artwork.  These sessions typically last 2-3 hours, and focus is spent on getting baby posed into perfectly sweet, snuggly, setups.  These sessions are where we really get creative and use beautiful styling, backdrops, and props such as baskets, bowls, and greenery.  I spend a lot of time during a session perfecting poses, details, fingers, etc. and I believe these little things are what makes the difference between a snapshot and a work of art featuring your baby.

Posed newborn sessions are shot in my studio in Ogden, UT, and all props, headbands, accessories & backdrops are provided.  The only thing you need to worry about bringing to the session is your cute baby.

Choose between a posed newborn session with just baby, baby with siblings, baby with parents, or a posed newborn + family bundle with everyone.  Posed newborn sessions include high resolution digital files in an online gallery. Galleries include a print release to use your photos how, where and when you please.

the lifestyle newborn session

$375

Lifestyle newborn sessions are designed to get relaxed, natural images of baby and baby with the family.  These sessions don’t include any posing of your baby or styled setups.  Baby is photographed laying on a bed, in a crib, and being held by family.  Lifestyle newborn sessions typically last 1 hour, and are shot in my studio in Ogden, UT.  These sessions are perfect for families who want candid images of their new babies, and aren’t focused on getting the more perfected, posed, detailed newborn portraits.

A lifestyle newborn session includes individual shots of baby, family poses, parent poses, just the kids, and candids, too. A gallery includes 50 edited images with a print release to use your photos how, where and when you please.

 

Newborn Session scheduling

sessions are done on wednesdays, THURSDAYS + SOME sundays

The studio is kept germ free and sanitized after every session to keep the space safe for new babies and families.  All sessions shot in my studio include access to my high end props, wraps, and headbands, so you don’t need to worry about bringing anything to your session besides your sweet baby.

I have worked with hundreds of newborns and am trained in newborn safety and soothing. I promise you lots of tips/tricks, and expertise for a wonderful newborn session experience!

Newborn sessions are typically booked 1 month or more before your due date with a floating session date around your due date.  All newborn sessions will be confirmed once your baby arrives and will be adjusted as necessary in order to photograph your baby when he/she is between 7 days to 3 weeks old.  If your baby is premature or in the NICU, we will adjust accordingly in order to ensure your baby is healthy and ready for his/her session.

Frequently Asked

Questions

I supply all of the wraps, little outfits, & props for posed newborn sessions. So you don’t need to worry about bringing anything except your sweet baby! For lifestyle sessions, just bring an outfit for your baby to wear.

I recommend whites, creams, greys, black, clothing with texture, light patterns, and solid colors.  These photograph beautifully and will remain timeless. Pops of color mixed with neutrals also looks beautiful.  Avoid big, busy patterns and clothing with logos.

I recommend a simple onesie, romper, or knit / textured items.

I recommend booking at least 1-2 months in advance of your due date to be guaranteed a session! The sooner the better. However please still inquire if you are past this timeframe because I will try very hard to get you in.

Within 3 weeks of your session date, you will receive an email with the link to your gallery and your beautiful photos!

All of my newborn sessions are done at my photography studio near Ogden, UT. I don’t currently offer in-home newborn sessions.

If you would like to come to the studio before your session and pick out exactly which props and backgrounds we’ll use for your session, we can schedule a time for you to do that. There is a $50 pre-session consultation fee.

Otherwise, I choose the props and styled setups before your session so that when you get to your session, everything is prepared and ready to go. I send a questionnaire to you upon booking where you can let me know what colors/props you would like. You can also tell me if there are any colors you dislike and don’t want used.

Once your baby is born, please contact me via email within 4 days of their birth. Then we will schedule the date and time for your session!

If your baby is born early, has any health concerns, or is in the NICU, we will adjust the session date. Once they are healthy and ready for photos we will do the session. We are still able to capture all the sweetness even if they are a bit older.

The studio is located a few minutes west of Ogden, UT. My studio is adjacent to my home, and a separate space from my home.

Lifestyle newborn sessions are 1 hour – 1.5 hrs.
Wrapped newborn mini sessions are 1 hour or less.
Posed newborn sessions are 2 – 2.5 hrs.
Posed newborn + family sessions are 2.5 – 3 hrs.

7-21 days old is the sweet spot for newborn photography and what I love and recommend! If your baby is older than 21 days it doesn’t mean a session is not possible, it just means we may need to work harder and there may be more awake photos instead of sleepy photos.

No, we will only need siblings for about the first 30 minutes of the session. After that we will have them go home, or go play with dad or a friend / grandparent.

There is no extra fee for twins/multiples for a lifestyle newborn session.

For posed newborn sessions, there is an extra fee of +$100. Posing multiple newborns takes a lot more time and the session will be longer. You will also receive more images.
