This little peach was so much fun to photograph! She has the most darling baby blues ever. I did her newborn session when she was almost 2 weeks old, and I was so excited when her mama contacted me again to do her 6 month milestone photos! Watching my newborn clients grow up, and getting to capture them as they change, is one of my favorite things about my job. It’s such a joy.
Six to nine months old are hands down my favorite age of babyhood to photograph. Babies in this age range are so smiley and happy. They rarely give us fits, and they are little cheezers for the camera! Six to nine month olds have the sweetest little grins and baby babbles. And their big eyes and drooly chins are enough to melt any heart. This is a really fun stage to photograph as well because most babies start to sit up on their own, or stand while holding onto something. And we can also get darling laying-on-the-belly shots. I love that we are able to capture more variety in these sessions with these different posing situations. It allows their personalities to come out and shine while they play and laugh.
I bet you might be wondering why milestone photos are such a hit? It’s because babies grow and change so quickly throughout their first year of life! Capturing these moments and allowing these pieces of babyhood to be preserved forever is truly priceless. It’s so fun to look back at your babie’s 1 year, 9 month, 6 month, 3 month, and newborn photos, and see how much they have changed throughout the year, but also how much they still resemble that tiny little newborn you brought home from the hospital!
